Fixing Smile with Composite

Composte build up for broken tooth

A Wedding, A Fall & A Beautiful Smile Restored in Time

Three days before a big wedding, this young lady walked at our doorstep with a worried expression. She had taken a fall and broken her front tooth. It wasn’t about the pain—it was about confidence. With her best friend's wedding just around the corner, she was devastated. How could she smile in all those pictures with a chipped tooth?

As she sat in the dental chair, she shared her concerns. "Doc, I can’t go to the wedding like this. I’ll be in every photo, and I don’t want to hide my smile!"

We understood her urgency. A front tooth fracture can be emotionally distressing, especially before an important event. Fortunately, after examining her tooth, we had good news—it was a simple fracture, and the best part? We could fix it quickly without any drilling or damage to her natural tooth (non-invasive procedure)!

The Plan: A Natural, Non-Invasive Solution

Instead of opting for extensive treatments like cap, we decided on a composite build-up—a painless, quick, and completely non-invasive procedure. This would restore her tooth’s natural shape, color, and strength without harming her existing tooth structure.

The process required two short visits:

First Visit – The Blueprint

We took an impression to create a diagnostic model—a mock-up of how her tooth should look after the restoration. This step ensured that the final result would be as natural and seamless as possible.

Second Visit – The Magic Happens

Using high-quality composite resin, we carefully sculpted and bonded the material onto her fractured tooth. Layer by layer, we built it up, matching the shade perfectly with her other teeth. Within an hour, her tooth was back—strong, smooth, and as good as new!

The Result: A Happy, Confident Smile

When she looked in the mirror, her reaction was priceless. Her eyes lit up, and a wide smile spread across her face. "It looks exactly like my real tooth! No one will ever know it was broken!" she said with relief.

She even sent us a message saying, "Doctor, thank you! My smile looked perfect in all the wedding photos!" & that’s all matter to us! J
